My Top 5 Concealed Carry Pistols
You probably already know I am a huge advocate of concealed carry. I believe every law abiding, stable minded person who is willing to educate themselves and become safe and proficient with firearms should be able to carry if they choose to. Over the years I have carried many different pistols.
Here are my top 5 personal favorites.
This single stack Glock is ultra concealable. It packs 6+1 rounds of 9mm and you can easily add another round with a magazine extender.
Given that it’s a Glock, there is never a question about reliability and accuracy. I have friends and family members that carry this gun everyday and love it.
Drop some night sights on it and you are ready to roll.
This tiny little gem is by far the smallest pistol on this list.
It has a lot of upgrades from its predecessor. A much better trigger, grip and sights make it very accurate and easy to shoot for it's tiny size.
Small enough to fit in your pocket but packing 6 + 1 rounds of .380.
This sub compact Glock has been a tried and true concealed carry gun for many years. It’s double stack magazine gives you 10 + 1 rounds of 9mm. This is the gun I currently carry every day.
I like the wider frame and slide for my hands, while still being able to conceal it even in summer clothes. I added a magazine extension to up my capacity to 12 + 1 along with Ameriglo Trijicon night sights.
Another subcompact 9mm super star. Thin and lightweight, but strong the 9 Shield offers 7 + 1 and 8 + 1 magazine capacity right out of the box.
Striker fired like the Glock, it’s another proven and widely popular concealed carry pistol.
The XDs series are the only single stack line by Springfield.
They come standard with a fiber optic front sight and two dot rear sights for quick sight pictures.
It also has a crisp trigger and comes standard with 7 + 1 capacity.
For the sake of total concealment, summer or winter, I only talked about sub compact pistols in this post. There are many, many more really great choices for concealed carry out there.
Don’t lose your mind because I didn’t include your gun on this list!
Whatever you carry is up to you, just make sure your firearm is reliable and you practice with it.
Also, if you are going to carry…….carry concealed. If you’re not uniformed law enforcement, no one wants to see a pistol on your hip in the grocery store or gas station or restaurant.
Thanks y'all and we'll see ya on the range.
